Tommie Jean Perkins
2014
12 x 8 x 20

I ‘m a cat and I hang out with dogs. I was born that way, been doing it a long time. You might think that is strange, but that’s on you, I’m easy with it, proud of myself and value my relationships.
Now, my name is Tommie Jean and not Pollyanna, I can take care of myself. I can run an instant obedience school if necessary. What do I think about dogs? In general, dogs take a long time to develop dignity and come to grips with the mystery of life. They are sloppy lickers, too boisterous, think about food too much, and eat too fast. They also stick their nose where it doesn’t belong, like some humans.
Dogs also are honest and loving. What you see is what you get. They love to be petted, they give back more than they get. Personally, I get that same pleasure from loving them as I do from them loving me. They are also protective. Some of the old tomcats in the neighborhood are difficult to deal with at times. That’s the good and bad of it.
Cats are different, I know because I are one.
So the next time you see me and my buddies out on a stroll, if you like dogs like I do, give me a honk and a smile.
