I Have A Dream

I have been in the water for a long time; the product of common men and women of uncommon vision, courage, and determination; of their confidence in their ability and their unswerving faith in the future. I appeal to all; life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, the value and the rights of the individual joined with the common good.

I have been happy as I welcome the many that came in the pursuit of their dream and I have been so sad when I remember those that have paid the ultimate price for where we are.

I have been over the years triumphant, torn, tarnished, and beaten, but never broken.

I am work in progress; the people’s work, your work. Grab on and commit. Stand by me and guide me. I am and always will be America the Beautiful.
